Every time I reboot, I receive a red error alert about "ISWSVC.EXE", which is apparently a Zone Alarm program. It appears 3 or 4 times, citing "event" without further details despite my accepting it. How can I get rid of this alert?

You didn't tell us which ZA product and version you are using, so its hard to give you a specific answer.
The file is part of the ZA Toolbar starting in version 9.0 of some za products. For example, I have it loaded with ZA Internet Security Suite: ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:9.1.008.000 TrueVector version:9.1.008.000 Driver version:9.1.008.000 Anti-virus engine version:8.0.2.42 Anti-virus signature DAT file version:1011108096 AntiSpam version:6.0.0.2383 However, I do not get any kind of error when I boot, so I don't know why you are. ![]() What, EXACTLY, does the error message say and what program is the message from? Searching the forums for the file name, got me this result, maybe it will help: http://forums.zonealarm.com/showthre...ghlight=iswsvc Follow the steps Guru fax posted in that topic and see if it helps.
